Directions to Our Boutique Minneapolis Hotel
From the airport via light rail:
To board trains from the main Lindbergh terminal of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport:
- Take the escalator down one level from the tram level and purchase a rail ticket at the vending machine. Rail fares are $2.25 during rush hour, $1.75 at all other times. Rush-hour fares apply Monday through Friday (except holidays) from 6 to 9 a.m. and from 3 to 6:30 p.m.
- Continue down another escalator to the rail platform and board the train to downtown Minneapolis.
- Exit the train at the Government Plaza station. (Travel time from the airport is about 20 minutes.)
- From the station, walk northwest on 5th Street South.
- Turn left on 2nd Avenue South and walk a block and a half. The Grand Hotel Minneapolis is on the left between 6th and 7th Streets.
Trains serve four downtown stations: Downtown East/metrodome, Government Plaza, Nicollet Mall and Warehouse District/Hennepin Avenue. They operate 24 hours a day, leaving every 7.5 minutes during rush hour and every 10–15 minutes at other times. No fare is required for trips between the Lindbergh and Humphrey airport terminals. From points south (and the airport):
- Take 35 West toward Minneapolis (going north).
- Keep left to take the downtown exits.
- Go straight onto the 5th Avenue exit. Follow 5th Avenue to South 7th Street.
- Turn left onto South 7th Street.
- The Grand Hotel is on the right between South 7th and South 6th Streets, at 615 2nd Avenue South.
- Take 94 West to the 5th Street exit.
- Turn Left on 11th Avenue South.
- Turn right on South 7th Street.
- Follow South 7th Street to 2nd Avenue South.
- The Grand Hotel is on the right at 615 2nd Avenue South, between South 7th and South 6th Streets.
- Take 394 East to the South 6th Street/"Garage B" exit. Stay to the right and do not enter parking garage.
- Follow South 6th Street (heading east into downtown) to parking.
- The Grand Hotel is on the right at 615 2nd Avenue South, between South 7th and South 6th Streets.
- Take 94 South to the 4th Street exit.
- Follow 4th Street to parking.
- The Grand Hotel is on the right at 615 2nd Avenue South, between South 7th and South 6th Streets.
- Exit on Washington Avenue and turn right.
- Continue on Washington to 3rd Avenue South.
- Turn left on 3rd Avenue South and continue to South 7th Street.
- Turn right on South 7th Street to 2nd Avenue South.
